Low price- high quality djembe

I was looking for a high toned djembe and found a wide range of various high to middle toned djembes
at Thomann. The Schallochs had a nice look. The black
drum body appealed to me. I chose the 700.S 08" hoping it would deliver the high tones I was looking for. Like always, it was delivered immediately. A very solid, robust body with a quality skin that has a good sound. The fact that I haven?t had to tune it after playing countless gigs speaks for itself. Another good purchase. Respect.

Nice djembe with good sound once it's in tune

I've had this djembe 4 years for now and I finally bothered to tune it and now it sounds so much better. This reminds me when I bought it, I didn't have a clue how to tune it and the tuning instructions were little confusing with poor and confusing pictures but then I found a very good and simple tuning lesson video from YouTube and I learned to tune it and now it sound really good! ;)

I wonder if I'll buy some day another, bigger djembe ;)

I've been using this small djembe for four years now and I'm very pleased with it. It sounds nice, stays tuned and is durable. However, keep in mind that it's a small instrument, and therefore not very loud. Good for acoustic sessions with a couple of friends and easy to take with you while travelling.
